The class is free. Nobody is paid to attend, and nobody pays to attend. Registering is not an application and attending is not a condition of being hired. The models are not paying clients. Attendees are there to learn: they do not assist, they do not cover a shift, and they do not clean up.
Why We Teach
LAHH stands for Life’s About Healthy Hair. It’s how we work, and it’s how we teach.
We open our classroom to stylists in Bay Harbor Islands, Surfside, Bal Harbour and the rest of our corner of Miami for one reason. The work in our town gets better when we share what we know. Every client here deserves color that looks good today and hair that’s still healthy a year from now.
Education is the first of our core values. In Emily’s words: “We never stop learning. Whether you’re a rising star or a master stylist, growth is a responsibility.” So every Monday, we teach.
What You Learn
The class is Highlight, taught by Emily Safran-Wands. Blondes and extensions are the work she knows best. Everything she teaches starts from the rule we use on every client: we never trade the health of the hair for a look.

Who Teaches
Emily Safran-Wands, Founder and Master Stylist
20 years in the industry, 15 behind the chair. Emily trained in New York at the Oribe and John Barrett salons. She specializes in balayage, blondes, precision haircuts and extensions, and she has trained in more than one extension system.
