Custom hand-painted balayage for a Bal Harbour clientele that does not have time for color that fades fast.
Bal Harbour is the kind of address where details matter. The clients who live in the towers along Collins Avenue or shop at Bal Harbour Shops, the St. Regis, and the Sea View Hotel are not looking for a generic balayage. They want a colorist who paints with intention, picks tones that flatter their skin, and builds a maintenance schedule around their travel calendar.
LAHH Salon is 3 minutes north over the 96th Street causeway from the Bal Harbour Shops valet on Collins Avenue. Our salon sits on the Bay Harbor Islands side of the bridge, so most Bal Harbour clients are in our chair within ten minutes of leaving home. Free parking on Kane Concourse means you skip the valet line entirely.
Balayage is painted, not foiled. The colorist sweeps the lightener onto the hair freehand, creating a soft transition from root to ends. When it is done well it grows out in a way that looks intentional for months. When it is rushed it looks like a frosted cap from 2003.
We see Bal Harbour clients who have spent thousands at other salons and ended up with stripey, brassy color. The fix is almost never another quick service. It is a longer, more intentional appointment that respects the integrity of the hair.
Our colorists train under Emily Safran-Wands, who has been painting hair for over a decade. We use Davines color and Olaplex bond-building inside every lift. The result is balayage that comes out healthy, cool-toned, and sized correctly for your face shape and lifestyle.
Our clients in Bal Harbour travel often. They tell us the same thing: their hairstylist in Paris, New York, and Aspen all comment on the placement. That is what we are after.
We start with a real consultation. You show us inspiration photos. We tell you which ones will work on your texture and which will not. We map the placement on dry hair before we mix any color. The actual painting takes between two and four hours depending on density. We tone with a custom gloss, condition with a Davines mask, and finish with a precision dry cut to refresh the shape.
Most Bal Harbour clients come in every 12 to 14 weeks for the full service and book a 45-minute gloss in between when their schedule allows.
Length and density change pricing. We quote you up front before any work starts.
Pool chlorine and ocean salt are the two biggest threats to balayage in 33154. Rinse hair with fresh water before swimming. Use a sulfate-free shampoo at home. Bring your hair in for a clarifying detox every six to eight weeks if you swim regularly. We carry the Davines and R+Co Bleu products that work with this climate, and we will write you a custom routine the day you leave.
Other services Bal Harbour clients book: premier extensions and balayage, color correction, keratin smoothing.
How long does a first balayage take?
Plan on three to five hours. The painting itself is the slow part because we work in small sections. Toner and gloss go on at the end. We do not rush the chair time.
How often do I need to come back?
Full balayage every 10 to 14 weeks. A quick gloss between full appointments every 6 to 8 weeks if you swim or tan often.
Will balayage damage my hair?
Lightener is a chemical service, so technically yes. We minimize damage with bond builders inside every formula and a Davines treatment at the end of every appointment. Real hand-painted balayage spaced 12 weeks apart is one of the lowest-stress color services available.
