Hand-painted balayage in Aventura, FL by colorists who paint dimensional, healthy color you can grow out for months.
Aventura clients are busy. Between Aventura Mall, the Turnberry Isle area, and the Country Club Drive corridor, the school run, and the work calendar, the last thing anyone needs is balayage that needs a touch-up six weeks later. Our hand-painted color is mapped to grow out softly so you can stretch the time between appointments without looking grown out.
LAHH Salon is 15 minutes north via Biscayne Boulevard or the William Lehman Causeway. Most Aventura clients budget about 35 minutes door to door including parking. Our parking on Kane Concourse is free.
Balayage is a technique, not a product. The colorist paints lightener onto the hair freehand, sweeping in soft sections. The lightening fades from saturated mid-shaft down to brighter ends. Done correctly, it looks like the result of a long summer outside. Done incorrectly, it looks like a stripy frosted cap.
The work that walks in the door from other Aventura salons is often "foilayage" or a quick balayage that was rushed. We start most Aventura clients with a tone correction and a bond-building treatment before adding any new lightener.
We are not a chain. Emily Safran-Wands owns LAHH and trains every colorist on her team. We use Davines, R+Co Bleu, and Olaplex. Every appointment includes real consultation time, a placement map, and a written take-home routine. Aventura clients tell us the same thing: their balayage looks better at week eight than most salons make it look at week one.
Your first balayage at LAHH runs three to five hours. We talk through goals, lifestyle, and budget. We map placement on dry hair. We mix custom formulas. The painting itself is unhurried. We tone, gloss, and finish with a precision dry haircut. You leave with a printed routine and the products we used.
Maintenance lands at 10 to 14 weeks for full balayage and 6 to 8 weeks for a quick gloss. We will set the next appointment at checkout.
Pricing varies with hair length and density. We quote before we start.
South Florida is rough on color. Pool chemicals at the country club, ocean salt at the beach, and ten months of UV exposure will turn an average balayage brassy. Use sulfate-free shampoo. Wear a hat for the first two weeks after a fresh appointment. Get a clarifying detox every couple of months. Our retail wall stocks Davines and R+Co Bleu, and we will write you a routine that covers travel, gym, and beach days.
Other LAHH services Aventura clients book: our Aventura hub page, hand-tied extensions, keratin smoothing.
How long does a first balayage take?
Plan on three to five hours. The painting itself is the slow part because we work in small sections. Toner and gloss go on at the end. We do not rush the chair time.
How often do I need to come back?
Full balayage every 10 to 14 weeks. A quick gloss between full appointments every 6 to 8 weeks if you swim or tan often.
Will balayage damage my hair?
Lightener is a chemical service, so technically yes. We minimize damage with bond builders inside every formula and a Davines treatment at the end of every appointment. Real hand-painted balayage spaced 12 weeks apart is one of the lowest-stress color services available.
